Resident Naturalist Experience

Meet The Resident Naturalists

The Resident Naturalists are passionate about the environment, and their role is to educate and inspire our guests about the local flora and fauna, as well as to conduct outdoor activities.

Guests at Shangri-La Rasa Ria, Kota Kinabalu, will be able to participate in guided nature walks and wildlife spotting excursions led by our Resident Naturalists. Our Resident Naturalist will take you on an adventure through the reserve's surrounding forests, sharing their knowledge about local plants, animals, and ecosystems. They will also provide assistance to guests in identifying local flora and fauna, including birds, insects, and reptiles.

In addition to leading tours, our Resident Naturalists also conduct educational talks and workshops. They cover topics such as local culture and wildlife awareness and protection, helping guests gain a deeper understanding of the importance of conservation and sustainability.

The Resident Naturalist role is a critical part of our commitment to conservation and sustainability. They play an essential role in educating and inspiring our guests about the local environment and wildlife. We are proud to have such passionate and knowledgeable individuals as part of our team, and we look forward to sharing the beauty and biodiversity of our reserve with you.
